Geological Resources Management and Conservation Division is divided into 1 Unit and 4 Sections as follows
(1) The Operation Planning and General Administration Unit has the responsibilities as follows:
- Carry out tasks related to administration, correspondence, finance, accounting, supplies, personnel, and operation planning for the Division
- Coordinate with governmental offices that are not directly responsible by other Sections
- Collaborate with or support other offices that are relevant or assigned
(2) The Policy and Strategy Section has the responsibilities as follows:
- Develop policies, plans, and strategies for the Department of Mineral Resources
- Improve, modify, and revise strategic plans, operation plans, and organization development plans to correspond with the National Strategic Plan, National Reformation Plan, or urgent governmental policies
- Provide policy related information to the cabinet of ministers, parliament, or any office related to reformation and propelling of the organization strategies
- Collaborate with or support other offices that are relevant or assigned
(3) The Planning and Evaluation Section (Per DMR Order No. 124/2564) has the responsibilities as follows:
- Develop governmental operation plan and budgeting
- Monitor, report, analyze achievements, and evaluate performance according to the annual operation plan and budgeting
- Support governmental inspection
(4) The Monitoring and Evaluation Section has the responsibilities as follows:
- Monitor and evaluate operation result according to the policies, plans, and strategies of the Department of Mineral Resources and its internal offices
- Manage and drive the strategic plan and organization development plan to achieve its goals
- Coordinate efforts on conservation and utilization in the field of geology, geologic resources, fossil, environmental geology, and geohazard with domestic offices and organizations
- Collaborate with or support other offices that are relevant or assigned
(5) The International Collaboration Section has the responsibilities as follows:
- Promote collaboration with foreign agencies and international organizations according to the mission or agreement between nations by the Department of Mineral Resources
- Propose policies, opinions, and reactions in negotiations and international meetings, and nominate representatives to attend international meetings
- Develop personnel, data systems, and publish international collaborative work
- Collaborate with or support other offices that are relevant or assigned
